Received message from a contact in my address book with whom I had not been in contact for a long time - offering to give away a baby grand piano because the individual's husband had passes away, and "she" was moving to France. Web address and e-mail were provided. Follow up e-mail message indicated a need to proceed within a few days because the storage contract was about to expire. When I contacted the purported shipping company (Metro Globalink Logistics and Freight) by e-mail the reply indicated a monthly storage fee of $570 and a range of shipping options from $1,800 to $3,200. The web-site is extensive, but numerous errors in spelling, syntax, and content raised red flags. Both the "home office" number and the local number on the web-site were answered with a simple robot voice message. The greeting did not indicate a business.
