I contacted a mental health facility called Sanctuary Tulum, which is physically located in Tulum, Mexico, but uses a California-based phone number to advertise services to U.S. residents. Phone number: +1 (323) 612-2024 Email: [email protected] Website: https://sanctuarytulum.com Address (claimed): 1111 Tulum Beach, 77765 Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico I called the number seeking information about their mental health treatment options. Instead of offering professional help, the representative made irresponsible and disturbing claims. He said the FDA, U.S. mental health institutions, and Dr. Anthony Fauci are all "gobblygook", and claimed they reject the entire American model of mental health treatment. This kind of talk is dangerous to someone in crisis and completely unprofessional for a facility advertising itself as a place of healing. They appear to be targeting U.S. citizens using a U.S. number and slick website, but what they’re offering is potentially harmful pseudoscience. I am reporting this so that others — especially vulnerable individuals seeking mental health support — do not fall for this misleading and unsafe operation.
