Received a call from a Kylie with InCall Medical Supply. She stated she sent a fax to our office to authorize prescription for a wrist and ankle brace, including office visit notes and protected patient information. Spoke with the provider who never put a request in for any braces for the patient. They continued to call us 4x in one week about this fax, and finally the doctor spoke with them and let them know to stop calling as the patient has no medical necessity for the braces. We get scam calls like this frequently, but an unsuspecting worker might not realize and just send the information over, just hoping to warn others!
