Description

I received a text from Chase detecting an unusual login from Amy Little iPhone16 Pro Max and then asking if I had made a purchase for $369.89 with my debit card ending in. 3442 at a public shopping center WPB 12262. I replied NO. I do have these security alerts set up with my debit card and I had received them before for purchases I was actually making. Shortly after subject Sharon reached out to me to investigate my fraud, he asked if I had recently made any purchases from Temu or gas stations with my debit card where it could’ve been picked up. At this point I hung up the phone and called Chase fraud department directly because I was taught to do that if it seemed fishy. The number I called to confirm was 800-935-9935 (Chase fraud) at 1:37pm March 4th and also 866 564 2262 (debit card charge dispute). I got this phone number from Chase website directly. I went through the fraud menu to get to a representative, she looked up my account and confirmed that the Chase representative I was speaking to was indeed their representative and told me the fastest way to speak with them would be to call their desk line they called me from. I called them back with much more confidence in the fake representatives. I was assigned 2 fraud representatives, Sebastian and Sharon, both male voices with no accent on their English. They told me more about the pending charge they saw. The next day there were more charges where someone added my debit card to their apple wallet and connected it to Zelle through that because I didn’t have my Zelle linked to my Chase account they said it made it easier to steal. Then they had me send $2,000 to Langdon on Zelle on march 4th. They said I needed to go to a Chase location in person to finish transferring over my funds to my new account. Wednesday they did the same thing and I sent 2,000 to Langdon.
