On Tuesday, February 4, 2025 I received a Voicemail saying I had 24 hours to respond to renew my Xfinity/Comcast contract and would a 50% reduction in my monthly billing. I called the number 480-878-3323 provided. When the phone answered it greeted me with the Xfinity/Comcast message. It sounded official. Soon thereafter a gentlemen answered and thank me for calling. He asked for my phone number. Then he proceeded to explain the "special" promotion for valued customers. He said the they would reduce my bill by 50% on a 2 year contract. He said I would have to pay for the first 6 months now. I refused and asked to talk to his supervisor. He put me on hold and said he would put the supervisor on the phone. After about 5 seconded the phone went to a dial tone. It was a SCAM! I contacted Xfinity/Comcast using their 800 number and talked to a fine lady who verified it was indeed a scam. She asked for my account number and verified that nothing had been accessed in the account. She said to block the number on my phone and to report the SCAM to the BBB.
