On 17 January 2025, I received an unsolicited letter from Thompson & Associates Law Firm, 27 Richmond Street, Toronto, Ontario M5H 3W4, Canada, return addressed P.O. Box 5004, Burlington ON L7R 3Y8, dated 25 November 2024, advising me to contact Attorney Louies Moore at 1-289-4812 or email: [email protected] to claim a $3,000,000 sum that was a bequest to me from an unknown benefactor. It was "urgent" that I reply as, after 30 days, the money would be declared as Unclaimed Funds and would be "relinquished to the government for community development. This had all of the hallmarks of a scam. Other than making this report to the Better Business Bureau and sending the letter with its envelope to Thompson & Associates, I did nothing.
