We responded to the internet posting for "King Papillon" to purchase a papillon puppy for $700. The purported seller communicated by email and text from different phone numbers. The purported seller would not accept telephone calls or follow through with a promised call to discuss the purchase. The purported seller asked for a $400 deposit via Apple Pay. After the amount was sent, the purported seller gave a real address in Colorado Springs and made an "appointment" to pick up the puppy at noon today. When we went to the residence, the occupant said that we were one of many people who had showed up at her door looking for puppies -- all scammed.
