Scammer from "2940 CONSTRUCTION INC" retrieved my phone number from Employ Florida and offered a Data Entry job for $35.00/hr via text. Upon researching the company online, you can find a hastily put together basic template website with very general information and no actual main address; they have an area that says they're located in Miami, Florida, but with no actual listed address that is accompanied by a picture of Google Maps with a red pin shown on a random street somewhere. I was hastily invited to a "text interview" at the end of the hour over Microsoft Teams where the scammer claimed that our message history is being encrypted as we go along and that this is entirely private (haha). I was asked basic interview questions presumably pulled from the internet / generated by ChatGPT. Within these interview questions, additional fishy questions were asked about what bank I use and contact information for references, which I was quick to dismiss. During the interview, I asked the scammer to provide a proper address for their "business'" main headquarters and was provided with a random address that leads to a law firm. The scammer also asked me what pay frequency I'd prefer to be paid at (weekly or biweekly), which is nonstandard - a company never asks you this, they have this established already and tell you the frequency of your pay. Scammer wrapped up the interview and told me I'd be receiving an email from the "Head of HR" to go over the interview results and receive a job offer that never came.
