$11.16 monthly doesn’t seem like a lot, but yearly that’s about $133 a year. Treat is an app that claims they send free treats and food when you play on their app, which allows you to adopt dogs from around the US, naming all the shelters they are from, etc. It costs nothing, but if you want to send them meals and health items (de-wormer, etc.) you can sign up for a subscription. Some as low as $5, some as high as $15 plus. They claim they send all of their food and treats out from Chewy, however Chewy has confirmed they are NOT in business with them. When you send the meals, treats or whatever out, it says it’s on the way but the items never reach the dogs. Unfortunately I didn’t realize it was a scam until now (I have been paying since April). The only way to cancel is through their website, but there’s no actual way to cancel; you have to contact them through their website form. I have contacted them three times, two of which they claimed I had no subscriptions hence I can’t be billed (even though I showed them my PayPal bill) but the third time they’ve ignored me completely. Cancelling your subscription (auto pay) doesn’t work as you’re still billed. Aside from above, here are some other telltale signs this is a scam: -No address of where Treat is located -No phone number -No developer information aside from the app name on Apple Store Tactics the scammers used: -Multiple 5 star reviews (either fake or from people that have not payed). -Through Google Play and Apple Store so seems legit -Makes you feel like this ‘digital fostering’ allows you to make a difference by helping dogs from whatever shelter you choose. I’m still fighting to get this cancelled but I’m scared I won’t. Hopefully this helps someone else.
