Scammer posed as Melanie Lyons at Renovation Brands. Likely found me through LinkedIn. Looking at the actual company’s site, the job in question was never posted. They asked for personal information in order to run a credit check. Below is the message they sent after a few other messages we exchanged. “Now, I want to discuss a standard procedure for our hiring process. As part of our hiring process, we conduct a credit check. This is to ensure financial responsibility, which is important for the role you're applying for. Before you join our company we need this. Are you comfortable with that?”
