I was contacted via text by their Senior Human Resources Manager (Gayatri H), informing me of a job opening. A remote data entry specialist position. They claimed to be impressed by my resume. I didn’t remember applying to this company, but I’ve been looking for a remote job for a few months, so I expressed interest at first. My questions were ignored, and they sent a link with instructions on how to complete the process, mentioning that the “report cost fee is refundable”. I recognized it as a compressed link that would redirect me to an unknown web address. I did not click the link, and I ceased contact. After receiving another two texts the following day asking for updates, I blocked the number. I didn’t share any sensitive information, and I don’t know how much money they would have charged.
