I would first like to say, be careful and aware of this specific job, because they have a physical address, what seems to be a valid phone number, they have a website, and they just honestly went to great lengths to reel me in. I initially was approached through text message, asking me if I was interested in a job because they had saw my résumé on Indeed. After replying to the text message, I was then instructed to download Teams to do the virtual interview. I did the virtual interview and then they proceeded to offer me the job. Once I excepted the position I was then emailed the on boarding packet to print out, fill out, and then return via email. Once that was completed, I then received an email with a check to deposit through my mobile banking app, but it was too blurry for me to do so, so that’s when I took the check to the bank. I sat down with an actual banker, and he reached out to the bank that they were using to create this check and found out that it was a fraudulent check. I am reporting this, because had I deposited that money in my account then I would be owing the bank thousands of dollars.
