The advertisement for this item was originally seen on Facebook. I placed my order on May 29, 2024 for a father's day gift. When I received the order June 13th via USPS. I immediately contacted the seller the following morning vai email: I received my order in the mail last night and would like to request a refund and return. The product I received is nothing like what I believed to have been ordered. 1.) The picture supplied does not even cover the entire packaging - it looks very homemade, cheap and very disappointing. 2.) The car included is not even a Mattel Hot Wheel. I am requesting a refund in full for the amount $44.93 to my PayPal account as originally paid. When the seller responded on 6/14/24, they indicated they could provide me a 10% refund. When I advised that was not suffice, they offered to redo the order, however since it was intended to be a father's day gift, I could not accept this offer. During the weekend, the seller offered me a refund of 25%. I advised this was not suffice since now I had to go buy another gift last minute. Days later they offered me a full refund IF I paid to ship the item back to China at my own cost. I then filed a claim with PayPal # PP-R-WON-530939456 hoping they would provide me a refund since my payment should have been protected. On July 1, 2024, I received notice from PayPal that my claim was denied: We received the case(s) you filed on June 18, 2024. We have reviewed this transaction(s) and are denying your case(s). This decision was made because this purchase is not covered under the terms of PayPal Purchase Protection. This is unsatisfactory to me as know I am stuck with a cheap knock off of what I ordered, custom, cannot get my money back and had to purchase a second last-minute gift that was not well received. I am beyond shocked at how PayPal conducts themselves with paying customers. I will never use PayPal for any payment transaction! And it obviously goes without saying that I will never fall for the scam from forlovergift.com again either!
