On June 3, 2024, I made an online reservation with what appeared to be a legitimate business. I prepaid $333.00 with my Visa credit card to the business for the rental of 4 e-bikes on the afternoon of July 5, 2024. I received an email receipt with a confirmation number—all of my reservation information was correct. When we arrived at the business address shown on the email receipt, it turns out there was no business located there. When I called the phone number on the email receipt, they said they didn’t have any bikes for us. Then they said their payment vendor’s website was not working, so they could not reimburse my credit card. I then exchanged several phone calls and texts with them about getting my money back. After many hours, they claimed to have processed a refund to my credit card. One week has passed and they still have not refunded my money. I have disputed this claim with my credit card company and am seeking reimbursement that way. I suspect they are a fraudulent company.
