Description

FIXD Automotive sell OBD Bluetooth code readers for your car. I was interested in one and saw they had a sale on Instagram. I went through the process of ordering and here's how it went. I put in all my information, saw it had free shipping too and was happy with that, although now I see why. After I clicked place order, it pops up REQUIRING you to put in your cars license plate and mileage. Ok weird, I don't like it but fine whatever. You put that in and then it pops up with their insurance option which is like $80 a month. The only way to decline this is to click a button that says something to the extent of "I am willing to risk a $2000 mechanic bill." Now I'm annoyed, and click it. THEN it comes back with a discounted "limited time deal" and you have to decline it again. Only then is your order finally placed. However I noticed they tack on a free trial to your order without telling you or giving you the option to decline. This free trial will automatically renew after a week for $100 a year. They do this without asking, and only barely tell you on the order placed screen to avoid liability. Now I'm speechless. I look and jump through a bunch of hoops to find how to cancel this subscription I never wanted. After I finally cancel it, I just decide this company is too sleezy and I don't even want the scanner anymore. So I email them to cancel my order or send me a return slip. (This is within 30 minutes of my order). I would rather spend $120 on a scanner from a trusted company than this $20 scanner from this scummy company. Their Google play and Instagram comments all confirm these practices.
