I got a call from someone named David Cooper, the loan officer for advance cash finance. He stated that I was approved for a $5000 loan. Then i received an email with a loan agreement that was titled installment promissary note. It had the name advance.cash at the top but no company address or phone numberband was signed by stacy shilby, account resolution dept, uscls. I was told to sign and send it back and call them. I did call them. Thats when i was asked if i had cash app or apple pay. I said no. I was told it was no big deal because i cpuld go to Walmart to complete the next step. I wasnt ablle to do anything until the next day. I received a call from David Cooper who told me that they were sending "insurance money" to my bank account that I would need to return. Thats when i was asked to go to Walmart and purchase 2 cash cards and load 494 on each card. Mr. Cooper told me to tell the cashier that they were for my own personal use. Once i purchased the cards i was to call him back. (The insurance money was deposited into my babk account). I called him back and gave him the card numbers, expiration date and CCV code for both cards. He also asked for the zip code of the store that i purchased them at. Then he instructed me to keep the cards in a safe location. This was supposed to clear the way for my $5000 to be deposited to my bank in 30 -40 minutes. After waiting an hour or so, I called Mr. Cooper back. He proceeded to tell me that the insurance company was having "tecnical issues" and that i would get my money by the end of the day or first thing in the morning. If i received my money in the morning, I would get an extra $50 for the inconvenience. So far, none of the $5000 has been deposited to my account. It doesnt appear that any money has been taken either, but I am concerned that he was able to send me a bank verification code without me logging into my account. Ill be cancelling those Walmart cash cards and changing my bank login info.
