Description

I received a job offer on Feb. 12. 2024 saying I was invited to interview for SparkPR for a remote data entry clerk position. The email was sent through these 2 email addresses, [email protected], [email protected]. An individual named Lewis Soloff claimed to be the HR manager that was interviewing me. The interview link was requested through text chat, through a platform called Schildi Chat. On Feb.12, 2024, he asked me to interview and tell about my experience, and then he said I met qualifications, and he hired me on the spot. Then he sent an email from this address, [email protected], saying I needed to send my social security, drivers license, and fill out a W4 and a letter of employment. The next day, on Feb.13. 2024, he said I would need to send $250 to an individual who he claimed was the software vendor, Brenna Young, through PayPal. The PayPal account was @BrennaYoung12. Her profile picture on Paypal was of a logo called JeviTech. Lewis specifically stated to not send the payment through a protected method, but instead through "Friends and Family" on Paypal, which does not protect your purchase once it sends. The next day, Feb, 14. 2024, and Lewis asked me to send $350 to cover the cost of office supplies, like a chair, desk, laptop, work phone, and printer. The payment was sent again through PayPal to Brenna Young again. Again, I was instructed not to send the payment through protected option, but instead through the "Friends and Family" option. Lewis did not send me a tracking # or anything. He just dismissed me and said we will talk tomorrow. I am currently trying to get him to send me a tracking number, and have emailed SparkPR through their official website to confirm Lewis Soloff's identity.
