My spouse was looking for a specific puppy breed (Basenji). AKC Congo Basenjis communicated with my spouse via email and identified that they were based in Colorado. AKC Congo Basenjis instructed my spouse to send a $1K payment in 2 $500 payments via Zelle. Thankfully, my spouse's bank blocked the payment and stated the recipient was reported as a scammer to the bank by others. When my spouse confronted AKC Congo Basenjis about their scam, AKC Congo Basenjis asked him to send cryptocurrency. My spouse was able to find a reputable breeder of a Basenji in Oregon. Ironically, AKC Congo Basenjis is using photos of puppies that are being sold by the breeder in Oregon. Please shut this site down so others are not scammed.
