Description

Scammer pretend to sell Australian shepherd dogs. As were located in Canada, he assures us that he can ship the dog anywhere in the world. Once contacted he asks for a money transfer to be done for the sale, including shipment. When money is finally received he promise the shipment to happen shortly. Then asks for a 1500$ refundable fee for a crate for the dog to ship. Once paid, he then asks for an insurance proof for the dog. The one we provided didn’t seem to be sufficient so he asked for another 1500$ for an insurance contract which company is in Africa. We did pay that with a credit card, which was billed to LOGISTICS.COM. He then provided a shipment tracking number with Happy tail logistics, which seems legit (https://happytailslogistics.org/track-your-pet/). We saw movement on the website from Kansas to NY. He then asks for another 1800$ for Permits, that he says is refundable. We initiated the purchase process on December 21st 23. The dog has supposedly arrived in NY on January 25th 24. We’re now Feb 7 and the dog is still not here. I called Happy tail logistics and they were unable to provide information. Probably part of the scam as well.
