It was a website advertising jack russell puppies for sale. The scamming website asked for me to submit which puppy I was interested in & then replied back through email that the puppy was available with several pictures and videos of the puppy. The scammer then said they accept payment through Google pay, Chime, or Cash App. I said I was not familiar with those methods of payment and they said they had an American Express account and I could pay with that method. I told them I did not have an American Express credit card & they said they would take (2) prepaid American Express gift cards & I told them I would think about it and get back to them. The next day they sent an email asking if I was still interested so they could reserve the puppy for me. I bought the 2 prepaid AmEx cards and gave them the info and they said they would ship the puppy in 2 days and would contact me when the puppy was dropped off at the shipper. The red flag scam a lama was this was all done through email without any phone numbers or address of the kennel until after the fake shipping tracking form was created & it had a fake address & phone number. They pushed there luck and their fake shipping contacted that the puppy needed a special crate for more money but the money "would be returned when the courier delivered the puppy to me. Then I knew for sure this was a SCAM and I was out my $1,000.00. I had a feeling all along but I ignored my intuition that this was a scama lama....So I am now working with someone to take down that website but I know as soon as it is removed there will be another one to take it's place.
