I was applying to different job offers through Indeed. I received an email offering me a job with a company called "Freight Shipping". I thought it was one of the job offers I had previously applied for on Indeed and decided to respond to said email. After finishing the contracting process by email, they provided me with a link to create an account on a website they called "DashBoard" (https://dashboard-freight.com/user/login.php) I was given instructions indicating that most communication and tasks would be carried out through this "DashBoard". They provided me with links to training videos for my "tasks." These tasks consisted of receiving or collecting packages and processing them. According to my "tasks" I was to open the package, take photos of the product and photos of any documents included with the product. I uploaded these photos through the "DashBoard" and they provided me with a Shipping label. After receiving said label, I had to go to the nearest store (UPS, FedEx or USPS) and leave the package. After leaving the package I had to request a receipt of which I had to take a photo and upload it to the "DashBoard" again. I processed 9 packages using the same procedure and another 3 additional ones that I had to pick up at different locations such as (Walgreen's, UPS warehouse or FedEx Warehouse). They provided me with a letter of authorization to pick up the packages in person since said packages were not in my name. Of these 3 packages called "VIP Packages" I can only collect 1 satisfactorily. The other two could not be picked up because the carriers (UPS and FedEx) that guarded said packages required the customer's signature. I continued to perform the tasks they requested of me and process packages until November 6, 2023. That day was the last time I had communication with them. According to the "employment contract" I was supposed to be paid for the services I provided on November 9, 2023 but I never received said payment. After trying to contact them multiple times I decided to look to see if it was a scam. To my surprise I found a page on the Internet in which other people describe the same type of work with the same details and it turns out that I realized that it was a scam. They always presented themselves with the company name "Freight Shipping" but with a specific address and telephone number. This address and telephone number belong to a company in Rockville, Maryland called "Freight Links US LLC". I tried to contact said company but did not get any response. I suspect that someone impersonated this company and used their information to hire me under that name but with different objectives. I have all the emails, text messages, photos of the shipping labels and products. Please if you need all these documents do not hesitate to contact me. With great pleasure I will deliver them to you. Unfortunately, during the hiring process I provided my information: name, email, bank account number, social security number and photos of my driver's license. I fear that they may use this information to steal my identity and impersonate me. If any other information is required I will be providing it with great pleasure.
