I received a pop up on my phone while online. Stated my phone was locked for security purposes of possible PII stolen. It claimed I visited a site that was either child abuse porn or related to a site that used the same thing. I was to call a Google Support line at 1-888-889-9584 to fix the issue. It would not let me change to another website to confirm the issue. I found a work around to close the browser page and I was able to resume normal use of the internet on my phone. I tried to call the number, it was a foreign male claiming they worked for google and asked to verify my email address. He did not identify himself or use any form of identification to verify he worked for Google. When I questioned the situation, he said I can contact the BBB to confirm but them mumbled the rest of his statement. I asked him to repeat what he said, and he did that same thing with a mumble. Then the male hung up on me. I just want to make people aware of the issue.
