Mr. Goodrich and I met on KSL Classified and he was looking for framers. He asked a friend and I to build a deck and then added a roof. He said he was a legit contractor and seemed very desperate for us to complete the project. We agreed on a price of $6500 for the deck and he said that was fair. We started the construction and completed all framing 5 days after starting. I began to notice little inconsistencies in his stories and then one older fellow told us he had not been paid in 2 weeks. I did some research and found an article about Ryan Goodrich and then brought it to the home owner’s attention. The homeowner and landscaper were very pissed off that Ryan lied about being legit and when confronted he bailed… what I have been told is apparently he stole $60k from the homeowner, landscaper, concrete guys. ( $53,500 ) and my business partner and myself. ( $6500 )
