The person wanted to video chat on the app Signal. While video chatting they screen recorded me then proceeded to say if i don’t want my like ruined and the video sent to family, friends and posted online needed to pay $1500. They sent a screenshot of my Facebook profile picture and 6 people on my friends list they were going to send to. I sent the money western union and was asked to convert it to Philippine currency. Once received they said they needed another $500 to help pay the bills for the “charity “ and to feed the kids and promised they would delete the video. I sent this payment via money gram also converted to Philippine currency. They said they deleted the video. Then the next day (today) told me they didn’t delete it and i need to send another $500 and will give me until 10am tomorrow to pay or they will ruin my life. Hope this helps. I’m still in the middle of this sextortion scam and have reported it to the FBI and IC3 agency with all the tracking numbers and names used for recipients. Be careful out there, it’s not worth it.
