The Darl posted a job for copywriters on Glassdoor and other sites. I went through a few interviews and started soon after. I knew in advance that the job would be more of a hobby as it only pays per word, however, when I told them I needed to focus on jobs that cover my time they turned nasty, locked me out of everything so I could collect my word count, and have ghosted me since and not paid the money they owe me. It's unethical for a company to demand writers attend meetings and research on their own time. This company is a fraud and should receive a warning to stop such practices in my humble opinion as organizations shouldn't be exploiting Americans like this, esp. not a company registered in California. I desperately need an income and it's sad that they are exploiting people who are trying to cover their bills this month. They wasted nearly 2 weeks full-time hours from me for nothing in return.
