Description

I paid for a preorder product in the amount of $145 for something now valued at $800. The game store company TGG (The Gaming Goat) was selling preordered boxes of Sorcery Contested Realm (SCR) that they reportedly bought from the SCR company Erik’s Curiosa via their Kickstarter back in April/May. Since then, the SCR Kickstarter games have been fulfilled and delivered to all who backed them. Now, the previous owner, Jeff Bergen, is saying that TGG (from which he recently resigned) never purchased the Kickstarter product to begin with. However, I have communication directly from the TGG Chief of Staff, Mandy McCool, who stated that, “We backed Sorcery: Contested Realm on Kickstarter at a retail level and listed the pledges on our site for preorder.” However, they are now saying they did NOT purchase the product and therefore do not have product to send to me which I already paid for back in May of 2022. So…they’ve had my money for nearly a year and a half and never intended to satisfy my purchase while keeping my money. On top of this, the product I ordered from them and they should have since delivered to me is now worth closer to $800. Even though I paid $145 it has since increased in value. So, although technically they only took my $145, they failed to deliver the item they assured me they’d ordered that now is valued worth $800. Even still…Jeff Bergren lied along with their Chief of Staff and misled consumers to believe they had in fact purchased SCR with the intent to complete the sale to me since I paid them my money. Now, there has been no attempt by Jeff Bergren to rectify the issue or refund my money or refund me with the product I paid for or the equivalent value of that product. Here is an email showing this correspondence.
