Description

My mother in law continues to be a target to scammers claiming they are calling from Windows Tech support. She was contacted over 20 times on July 21, 2023 from many numbers starting with 540-795. She put a block on that area code with Verizon who is her VOIP landline provider. These people continue to target her because she has allowed them to remote into her desktop computer and given them access to her bank account and credit cards. I'm unsure of the total amount that they have scammed out of her but it's happened on multiple occasions and she answers in spite of her family advising her to stop talking to them.
