I applied to a Data Entry Clerk position on Indeed for a company called ICAM. That application no longer has a web page on Indeed, so I suspect it was the origin. The next morning I received an email from a Linda Hopkins stating that their HR department had reviewed my resume and found me qualified for "Customer Service, Data Entry Clerk, Administrative Assistant, etc". The job description was very basic, being only 3 sentences, and it was described as immediate hire for $30 per hour. The email then asked me to download Signal to speak to a "Mr. Edwin" at the number I listed. They gave me a interview code of HR-SESCB. I did so and spoke to a "Aaron E. Gonzalez". The interview consisted of a description of the company, its location, and the job. He then asked me 10 questions that are fairly standard for interviews (e.g. think of a project you worked hard on and what was the result) along with details like my address and bank name. He said I did well and the next day I was offered the job. I was told I would get a check in the mail to purchase office supplies and that paperwork would be given to me the next day. Lastly he asked me to send him a 30 second video of me "Make a vow of commitment, and to also disburse funds allocatead to you for the purpose of getting your working materials to begin with training so you'll do as instructed by the company without delay." I did and that was it. Now I am waiting for the paperwork. After looking into the company website though, I can find no job listings for anything regarding data entry clerks, customer service, nor administrative assistance.
