I applied for a secret shopper job, and I’m kicking myself because I can’t remember where I even found the listing. But I was contacted by “Robert Wilson” via email letting me know there was a packet in the mail for me. I got it today and it contained a very vague cover letter and a cashier’s check for $2950.00. The packet instructed me to purchase eBay gift cards after cashing/depositing the check and taking $500 for myself. It also said to scratch off the codes from the cards and send the card numbers to the email [email protected]. Red flags all around, im glad I googled this before depositing the check. Robert claimed to be based in New Jersey. The cashier’s check says “Nouvelle Rock Road LLC” on it. The phone number he provided was 609-283-2442.
