Caller to BBB public info line says received call from individual identifying self as a "higher-up" at the Better Business Bureau, calling because there was "fraudulent activity" on victim's accounts. Claimed they could help with this issue by putting "blocks" and "flags" on the impacted accounts. As part of this discussion, victim gave "BBB" their bank account / credit card numbers, trusting that the person was trying to help them. Victim subsequently discovered $2,000+ worth of unauthorized charges on bank account / credit card. Says "BBB" rep gave a number of 808-800-8750, a number previously reported to be associated with a Geek Squad imposter scam. Victim is currently working with her bank / credit card to dispute charges and replace cards.
