LOCAL HUB ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY Your office is your home! That’s right! This is a remote position, and you’ll be working from the comfort of your home. A typical day starts early, around 9 a.m. and most people kick their day off by checking their assignments and expected deliveries. You’ll have tracking numbers and powerful CRM software at your disposal to help you plan your day. As long as you periodically check your assignments and are physically present to receive all incoming deliveries, you do not have to be tethered to a computer all day long. While packages will be of varying sizes, no package should weigh more than 50 lbs. We have an agreement in place with our clients that all packages will be processed within 48 hours after the receipt of the shipping documents. However, the sooner you process, the better your report card will look. It is imperative that you are available and present in person to receive all attempted deliveries. It can be very helpful to learn the carriers’ routes and delivery schedules in your area to better plan your day. Missing deliveries can often lead to delays and negatively impact customer experience. Once it’s received, you’ll carefully inspect the contents of the package. Take photographs and upload them to the customer portal. Anything noteworthy must be communicated to your curator promptly. Finally, you’ll process outgoing packages by following the exact instructions provided by the client. You’ll be provided with prepaid labels and are expected to drop off packages at your nearest carriers’ locations. You may occasionally be asked to pick up packages from nearby stores within town or city limits (no more than 15 miles). COMPENSATION Everyone starts as a probationary employee at Rollitek for their first 30 days. No exceptions. This probationary period helps us gauge suitability and ensure we have the right person for the right job. This helps both the employee and the employer understand whether they are a good fit for each other. Most probationary employees go on to land permanent position with Rollitek and tend to stay for good. We have a very low turnover rate because we take the time to ensure our employees are a good fit for their role. Probationary employees are paid at the end of their 30-day probationary period. The monthly wage during the probationary period is $3300 (5000 CAD) with an additional $100 (150 CAD) allocated for qualified reimbursable expenses. We offer paid, on-the-job training and all the tools and training you need to succeed in your new role. The monthly salary for permanent employees is $3700 (5600 CAD) with an additional $150 (210 CAD) allocated for qualified expenses. Paychecks are issued on the 27th of every month.
