They contacted me thru text message and said I was approved to become a mystery shopper so then they said I would receive a package from USPS tracking number on it to be looking for it in the mail so I received it Saturday and I received a check worth $3050 and made out to me that I was to go deposit it into my account then they said the check will clear within 1-2 days and you may use ATM deposit or mobile deposit. I was also to purchase a cashiers check from my bank for $50 and it should be made out to the American Cancer Society and I was to include a copy of the cashiers check and receipts in my survey report. step two was with cash proceed or choose any two of the following stores near you, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens Kroger, target Sam’s Club, and said to text him at this number 913-703-5997 as soon as you get to the parking lot for guidelines if i don’t get any response after five minutes proceed to complete the task. They said they had reports it’s store attendants/ registers/ cashiers, sometimes having trouble ringing out prepaid or gift cards without requiring the assistance of a supervisor or makes customers experience stressful. I was to purchase a $1000 of apple gift card 2 gift cards of $500 each at any of the stores located close to me and then the store number two I was to purchase $1500 in American Express gift cards of 3 cards $500 on each at any of the other stores. I’m once done purchasing the gift cards I was just sent a picture of the receipt and the scratched gift cards to [email protected] or text 913-703-5997. that I couldn’t tell nobody that I was a secret shopper if I had to contact them any at all, I was to go outside the store and text or call, do not attract attention to myself. don’t go in with a note or go in writing anything down to voice suspicion that you are secret shopper just memorize all you can and report back when you get home. I mean I don’t know much and ain’t very smart but it seems like a scam to me. Thank you for checking into this. Maybe this will help others avoid getting scammed
