The email that I received was a sextortion phishing email, where the person claimed that they hacked the operating system of my device and received full access to my account. They also claimed that they installed a virus in my system, allowing them to control all devices that are connected to my internet. They threatened to create a video of me masturbating in one part of the screen, with the other part containing pornographic content, and that if I don't pay them $1800 via bitcoin in two days, they will send the video to all of my friends and family. He sent the email to a bunch of my friends and family members as well. They also attached a screenshot of my laptop display to the email to make it seem like they had access to laptop. I was not worried about the email as this is an example of a classic sextortion phishing scam, but I was worried when they sent a screenshot of my laptop screen, making me believe that my computer might have been hacked.
