I found what seemed to be a trustworthy program to download for anti-virus protection on my phone, supposedly for free. The name is Total AV. I was initially charged $2.99 but figured that wasn't a big deal and was probably a one-time charge. Once I looked around on the program I decided it wasn't what I was looking for. I immediately went and cancelled the app and received the message that it was successfully removed. One month later I was charged again by them for $8.99. I emailed them and asked that the charges be reversed and said I had removed the program the very same day I downloaded it and was told the removal had been successful. We emailed back and forth several times, and they just danced around the subject and ignored specific things I was saying. I finally looked up the company and it seems they are scammers. More than being worried about the $11.98 I am way more worried about what they might do with my information or that they might steal and use my information. I had used PayPal. I filed a dispute for the charges with PayPal but again just hope they don't have access to anything they shouldn't.
