I received an email for a remote job offer for data entry position with very vague details and a link to the application page. The link sent me to a page with the official Paychex logo and more details about the position which was printing out payee checks and having them delivered by courier and that the wages would be 3500 a month. Also noted that I would need printer, personal computer, paper, sticky glue, and internet. Also I would need to purchase the blank hologram computer checks. Information asked for was name, address, email, phone, gender, and age. Then a day later was contacted through text message by a Luke Mac stating he was the instructor manager for the Paychex Payroll service for which I applied for. Asked if I had the materials and asked me to purchase the blank check paper from amazon and to download the whatsApp for documentation purposes. I was extremely suspicious so, looked on the Paychex website and saw a notice about scams sounding just like this. Luckily I didn't give my social, drivers license, or bank info but still I will be reporting this for my own safety.
