They initially quoted $143 US for a flight ticket and I called to check on the status a day later they told me the airline had no more seats for basic economy I would have to upgrade for $290 US. I questioned why they would sell a ticket if the flight was already booked and they gave some crappy explanation that didn’t make sense. They were trying to make me hurry and pay, saying that the quote would only be good for how long the browser window was open. I told them they could try the card knowing the quoted amount wasn’t on there and my bank texted me with a code, which isn’t normal so I knew it was a scam. I told them I would call back once I got all the money and they said okay, then they called back trying to assure me that me receiving the code and them asking for the code was normal. I never mentioned the code being an issue in the call previous but that’s when I realized something was wrong.
