Subject: Misleading YouTube advertisement claiming car insurance refunds Details of the Advertisement:?On YouTube, I saw an advertisement featuring a pregnant delivery driver who receives a generous tip from a “multi-millionaire.” The man then takes her phone, inputs the make and model of her car, and claims that it is “processing a refund of over $2,000 that you overpaid on car insurance for the past four years.” Website Advertised:?The ad directed me to mysavingsplans.com. Why This is Misleading and Concerning: * The ad suggests that consumers can receive large car insurance “refunds” by simply entering their vehicle information. This is not how insurance refunds work. Refunds can only be issued directly by licensed insurers, not third-party websites. * The advertised website does not appear to be an auto insurance provider at all. Instead, it appears to be associated with Medicare Advantage or health insurance lead generation, which is unrelated to the claim in the ad. * This appears to be a bait-and-switch tactic to collect personal information under false pretenses. * Consumers may be misled into providing sensitive data, thinking they are entitled to thousands of dollars in refunds that do not exist. Request for Action:?I am requesting that this advertisement and the website behind it be investigated for false or misleading advertising practices. The ad preys on vulnerable consumers with promises of large refunds and does not accurately represent the services being offered. Additional Information: * Platform: YouTube * Date/Time seen: 8/17/2025 9:30 AM * Location: Bountiful, UT Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, ********* *******
