Between July 29, 2025, and August 6, 2025, I was recruited online by an entity calling itself NextLeft for a remote “paid task completion” job. They presented themselves as a legitimate company and instructed me to open a new Cash App account specifically for this work.
During this period, I sent multiple payments totaling $9,386.87 from my bank via Cash App and crypto to “NextLeft” at their direction. These payments were described as “necessary deposits” to unlock or process earnings I had supposedly accrued from completing tasks.
After sending the funds, I learned the following:The website and contact information provided by this “NextLeft” are not associated with the legitimate NextLeft marketing agency or any registered business. Their tactics match known scam patterns identified by the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI, including requiring upfront payments to receive earnings and refusing refunds. When I requested the return of my funds, they refused and ceased all communication.
I have reported this matter to my bank’s fraud department and the local police department. I will also be filing reports with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
