On August 6th, I received an email from [email protected], signed by someone identifying as “Sharon Teper.” The subject line was “Remote Job Opportunity,” offering a “Remote Appointment Setter” position with claims of being “very lucrative.” The email included: A link to a public Google Form requesting personal information. A phone number (313-530-3306) and a website (appointmentsettingco.com), which I researched and found listed on the BBB Scam Tracker with multiple scam reports. Vague promises of employment without a proper interview or verification process. Upon further research, I discovered reports that this “company” has operated under multiple names and requests upfront payments for supposed training, which matches common job scam patterns.
