I was contacted by phone regarding a remote, part-time job opportunity. During the call, I expressed interest, and shortly after, I received an employment form to complete. I filled out the form and began working for the company. For approximately a month and a half, I carried out assigned tasks which primarily involved receiving packages, printing provided shipping labels, and delivering them to locations such as UPS, the post office, or FedEx. I was informed that payment would be issued on a monthly basis. However, after about six weeks of work, the company abruptly stopped sending packages and ceased all communication. My calls and messages went unanswered. To test if the line was still active, I asked a friend to call the same number. Surprisingly, the person answered and offered my friend the same job opportunity I had accepted. This behavior strongly suggests that this may be a fraudulent operation targeting job seekers.
