One-time property search is advertised for $1.00. I selected this option, reviewed the results (which were poor), and left the web site. The next day I saw a $30 charge to my credit card. When I called Propertyrec.com, a rep named “Michael” with a foreign accent looked up the charge and insisted I had signed up for a subscription service. I informed him I had screen shots showing that I only ordered a single, $1.00 report, but he continued to talk over me and insist I had signed up for a subscription. I informed “Michael” I would be contacting the NC Attorney General’s Office to report this fraudulent behavior and then “Michael” said a refund would be provided. Note: Based on subsequent internet research, it appears the Propertyrec.com uses this deceptive business practice - fraud is what it really is - on a regular basis.
