I needed to change a flight i booked through Expedia because i only had a 30 minute layover in a huge airport with a 2 year old so i didn’t think i would make it. I called what i thought was Expedia and a lady “Jenny” said that she could changed my reservation but for a fee of $1390.00. First i a cancel rebook authorization fee would be taken out of $853.00 then another charge of $537.00 would be taken out for the new flight. I was told i would then receive a refund for $680.00 from my previous booking holding in 30-90 days. I ended up receiving $304 for the airline i originally booked from as a refund. I called the Expedia number i was given for when i was originally helped and it’s now no longer in service so i searched for another Expedia number and talked to an agent and told her the story and my itinerary # and she then later told me they had no information of anything ever being cancelled and nothing about any refund. Then went on to ask me about the email and phone number that i originally contacted and i later found out that it was never Expedia and it was a scam.
