I received a call from (619)663-8972. She identified herself as being from a medical equipment supplier. She was calling to tell me I qualified for a back brace and knee brace from Medicare due to it being reported to Medicare that I had back pain. She said this was part of Medicare’s annual program. I asked how this was possible without a prescription from my doctor (he doesn’t recommend back braces). She said that wasn’t necessary as it was coming directly from Medicare. I wasn’t quite sure and said this but she insisted the brace would be forthcoming. She gave me instructions on how to wear the brace. Then she said I should receive it with 5-7 business days. She also said shipper might be contacting me.
