i thought i was calling american airlines. i requested to book a round trip to Tallahassee. the person on the phone took my information and even gave me a senior discount. When I received an email confirmation, I noticed that the email did not contain a confirmation number or flight numbers. I called American Airlines to check on my reservation and was told there was not a reservation for me. The next day I went to my bank to cancel my debit card. Unfortunately, the charge might still go through because they received a good confirmation from the bank. The bank suggested that I attempt to call the website back and try to cancel "my flight". The direct line to "my agent" goes straight to music without ringing and the general number goes to a phone bank. An agent named Ralph answered our call and basically told us that it would cost $300 to cancel my flight so that I could receive the entire $597.98. When I told him that I had been to bank and canceled the card I used, Ralph began to give me the runaround and finally said, "You must have dialed the wrong number" and hung up.
