Me and my sister were approached by two people in a Target shopping center parking lot in Philadelphia, PA, 19148 zip code. They were in a white Chevy Suburban SUV. They noticed my sister had several dents on her passenger door and front side of her SUV. They said they were father and son. They claimed to be Greek, but to me they seemed more like they from the Middle East. The Father's name was said to be Johnny; I did not pay attention to what the sons name was. They said they were dent repair experts. They seemed to know what they were talking about and had car/body repair tools. They said they were only in the area for a day and gave us a price of $550 to fix three dents. We gave them a try, they looked like they knew what they were doing, they appeared to be taking out the dents, then covered them up with a white compound-like substance and said to leave it on for 24 hours to protect the finish. My sister then asked them to repair some damaged paint areas; he charged her additional $700, needless to say, none of it came out ok and we were scammed. We contacted him by text message two days later via the cell phone number he gave us, 445-252-4340, the son did answer our text message and said his father was in New York and would call us to fix it when he returned, that was two weeks ago. We understand we were scammed, and we are embarrassed by it, so we like to report it so that maybe someone can trace the phone number down and stop these scam artists from preying on someone else.
