Was contacted by former hs sweetheart enthusiastically about flying out to LA for a weekend for some type of retreat. My mother passed recently, so grief has been a forefront issue. I was under impression program was a yoga/group/grief therapy/vacation. I was coerced into putting deposit down for this program prior to realizing it's a pseudo-cult pyramid scheme based off of lifespring (from the 70s). The language and layout/aesthetic of the MITT website/correspondence is on par with a legitimate organization. However, upon further research, there were too many unanswered questions and vague waivers of liability- raising my suspicion. A $300 deposit for $600 program is a scam if it is not refundable. The deposit is not consistent with definition of full tuition anyways and thus shall be refunded. There was no good or service provided, thus the deposit should be refunded. $45 fee is okay. MITT essentially has their former "students" sell to people they know, in dubious coercive ways. These sellers explicitly state they do not work for the company they just "believe in it" In my experience, I thought I was going on a date/vacation thing-possibly grief therapy, but through analysis, concluded I had just gotten hoodwinked by a girl who has known me for nearly 15 years. MITT is a predatory business practice, and I'm disgusted that it persists with a veil of no recourse. The event has not taken place yet, I will not be attending, and following today's phone call, am expecting pushback against my request for refund, so I am proactively making this complaint. I paid airfare, hotel, and deposit. Refunded hotel, am stuck with airfare until further notice and the deposit for MITT has not been refunded. These people are like the vector knife co of pseudoscience, except worse. In event I do not receive refund/confirmation of refund, I will subpoena the appropriate parties, and will also be serving invoices relative to the claim.

As a graduate of the BBBs Empower Cohort, I wanted to write based on the principles I learned.I own a video production business, and was referred to MITTs training by a colleague of mine *****. He told me that if I was struggling finding success in my own business, I might find the answers to them via the Basic training.I signed up, quite skeptical and guarded of what impact this might have on me. The trainings took place in a large hotel conference room along with 100 other participants. The process was extensive and challenging, but I can wholeheartedly declare that it was worth it. I was able to uncover limiting beliefs that had me showing up disingenuously to my clients, vs as a true advocate for their success. The training revealed to me how Ive been lacking as a leader, and gave me the chance to step up both in the training, and in my business. Since I began the training 2 months ago, Ive applied the learnings to not only operate as a stronger business owner for my clients, but also develop an intrinsic confidence that has increased my confidence, AND consequently increase my client satisfaction and revenue. Is the training for everyone? No. Its intense. It will challenge you, your leadership, and your self-limiting beliefs. But who it IS for are those who want to stand for the greatest versions of their business, their families, and their lives and are willing to invest whatever it takes in themselves to do it. - *********************, Creative Producer at Vertigoh Vision *****************************************************************************
