As the manager of UBT Journey, our dedicated program for customers nearing or in retirement, I am thrilled to share our exceptional experience with Josh Planos from the Better Business Bureau. Josh recently delivered a virtual presentation titled “Smarter Fraud and Scam Awareness: Watching for Red Flags” to our group, and it was, without a doubt, the best session we’ve hosted on this critical topic.
Josh brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep sense of compassion to his work. His ability to engage our attendees was evident from the start. He approached the complex subject of fraud and scam awareness with a perfect balance of hard facts and a light touch, making the information accessible and impactful.
Our attendees, many of whom are of or nearing retirement age, were particularly relieved to learn that fraud can affect anyone, regardless of age. Josh’s presentation covered essential topics such as recognizing fraud in the digital age, key steps to protect their money and personal information, and valuable resources to safeguard themselves. He also provided clear guidance on what to do if they suspect they are victims of identity theft.
