On 2 May 2024 I placed an order with Doordash for several products at the grocery store Shoprite. Doordash employs shoppers it calls "dashers" to shop in the store and purchase the products for a customer, and then delivers the products. The dasher on my order was unable to find a couple of the items and substituted them with other items without contacting me or obtaining my authorization for such substitutions. After receiving the groceries, I immediately noticed that I had not received what I ordered, but rather other products. What made it worse was the products that I did receive were not kosher, and thus I could not eat them or use them at all.I contacted Doordash to let them know what happened, and they were unable to refund me for the products that they charged me for, but I never ordered. They offered to escalate the complaint to a special team. My escalation was denied, but without explanation of why I should pay for something that I didn't order or have use for. I called several more times. Each time the agent I spoke with was confident that I should receive a refund, since they had a clear record that the Dasher never requested or obtained my authorization to purchase the unwanted products. Each time they escalated my claim it was denied. Each time with no explanation of why. I continued to ask each time for them to at least explain to me why it was OK to charge me for something I had not ordered. Each time they denied it without any explanation.I am seeking a refund for the charged assessed to me for products I never ordered or wanted, and for compensation for aggravation and time needlessly spent chasing after my refund.The price of $28.94 below includes tax, and is part doordash credit, part credit card payment.Thank you,*****
