      I have been a AAA member for 13 years, ever since I began driving. I have not had a single moving violation, traffic offense, DUI or any criminal charge, accident, nor even filed any claim in that time span. I renewed my auto insurance in December 23 for a year, extending to December 31, 2024. I opted into a discount to go paperless, saving me $200 for that year. AT NO POINT DURING MY CALL WITH THE AGENT DID HE TELL ME I HAD TO OPT INTO PAPERLESS MYSELF. I had complete understanding that after I hung up the phone, everything was good to go.I received 1 piece of mail that alerted me that I hadnt changed my status to paperless, and another to alert me of a charge. I misplaced both pieces of mail (I understand this is my fault and take responsibility). HOWEVER, I receive 1000 emails a day from AAA, trying to sell me on everything under the sun, but nothing concerning my bill. I also have received about 10 calls since I cancelled roadside assistance, asking for feedback and why I canceled. I did not receive one call about the auto policy bill.Considering I paid for the 2024 year in full, I didnt think to look at anything in my account.Without any other alert, I found out today that I have been without auto insurance for almost 2 months.I have lost my policy, and they now quote me for $2,500 for the next 6 months before I can sign a new policy with AAA (400 A MONTH FOR A PERFECT DRIVING RECORD).This is not how anyone should do business. I am done with AAA, and will make sure I steer everyone clear of their service. I expect to hear back about this as well. Imagine if something had happened to me over the last 2 months. What an embarrassment all around

      After 40 years of membership it's time to move on. I requested tow service @1:34 pm with the identifying information of the vehicle and was text. I would be contacted shortly. Text said driver was in queue @2:08pm, no driver responded. Called back @2:47pm and AAA told me they were unable to contact the company. They said they would dispatch another driver. Driver arrived around 5pm but was not equipped to tow this vehicle and would dispatch the correct truck. In the background AAA sends me a voice message that its a commercial vehicle and would not tow it. **** also failed to disconnect from me and also recorded the conversation with tow driver. I called and was told I quote " its a box truck without the box" I said its a flatbed and she said flatbeds are commercial vehicles and are not covered. This vehicle is a classic truck with collector plates. I gave them the description of the truck @ 1:34pm and @5:05pm was given the updated info that I have been paying for services that were not even available to me per the dispatcher.I called to cancel my membership and was told i would need to be transferred to facilitate my request. The *** that answered after transfer took all my information and then said my "sup" has to do it and thus begins my time on terminal hold. I call back again the next day and was again told that they couldn't accommodate my request and would need to call back. I had always believed AAA was a quality organization with top of the line customer service as it had in the past. My vision has now changed about their customer service, quality of service and expediency has greatly declined so much that it has no benefit to me and will cancel my 40yr loyalty if they ever answer the phone. By the way much better coverage is available at 1/2 the price from other providers.
