My daughter ************************* was taken by ambulance to the ** room on 2/5/2023 for a total knee dislocation. She has dual coverage my insurance is primary and her fathers is secondary. The total billed amount was $4,277.03 and when the first bill was mailed to us they offered a DISCOUNT OF $1283.11 if paid by by 3/11/2023. I have complete details of this in my files. So I take the bill to my insurance (I work for my own insurance) the ambulance is processed by my insurance on 4/6/2023 my primary insurance paid $1,654.70 leaving a balance of $2,379.04-there should be an adjustment for billing $243.29 for basic supplies & services-unbundling procedures. I then submitted to the secondary insurance the bill and EOB from my insurance. The secondary insurance denied the claim 4/26/2023 ASKING AMR TO REBILL through *********** To date this has NEV** been done. I started calling in JULY 2023 when we were getting billed again. Since then I have spoke to multiple people. I was initially advised that they could not bill the secondary insurance until my insurance (primary) responded to the appeal they sent. I was told this several times. I also told them on multiple occasions the appeal was never received by my insurance and then provided the fax number to my office-still no appeal received. My daughter ******* and myself have contacted them-they have been asked by both of us AND the secondary insurance to bill for secondary payment. To date this has not been done. ******* is getting billed by mail and bills sent to her phone weekly. This is a shame! I contacted my local assembly members office to let him know how this has been handled. This is AMRs fault for dropping the ball on multiple occasions and should write this off. How is it they were able to write off $1,283.11 if paid by March 11,2023 but they can't do their job and bill secondary insurance instead they continue to bill us. It is constant an annoying.
